Inhambane TOFO As you drive along the beach road, you will reach a fork in the road. The right fork will take you to Tofo beach and the left to Ponta da Barra. At this junction is Bar Babalaza, a famous pre-war restaurant and bar, which is always busy on weekend nights. Tofo beach is 10km away and one of the more developed resorts in the region. The beach is a broad expanse of clean sand and it is safe to swim there, although there is much traffic on the beach in the form of quad bikes and vehicles towing boats, so parents with small children should beware! Nearby is Tofinho, which is popular with snorkellers. The old hotel, which had fallen into a state of disrepair, is now under new management and was undergoing renovations at the time of our visit.To get to this resort, take the left fork at Bar Babalaza on the road from Inhambane. This area is popular with diving and fishing enthusiasts and there are facilities for boat charter. AIDA AND
