Sofala Province The Beira Corridor If you plan to visit Manica/Zimbabwe then your journey will take you out of Beira along the EN6 route. At the time of our visit, there were extensive roadworks along the route and these look set to continue well into the year 2000. However the road is negotiable with an ordinary saloon car but you need to be alert for such hazards as loose chippings, speed control ramps and slow moving, heavy vehicles. Our distances in kilometres are taken from the airport bridge so remember to re-set the clock to zero as you pass the bridge.
